Overview
Eslaforde LLC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our mobile applications ("Apps"), including Simple Anagram Helper, Simple Spelling Bee Helper, the Eslaforde Workout Tracker, and Simple RouteBook.
Information We Collect
Our Apps are designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our own servers. Specifically:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information through our Apps.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools within our Apps.
- We do not use cookies or similar technologies.
- We operate no servers that store user data.
Data Storage
Simple Anagram Helper stores your current puzzle state (entered letters and tile positions) locally on your device using standard iOS preferences. No data leaves your device.
Simple Spelling Bee Helper keeps puzzle state in memory only during your session — nothing is persisted when the app is terminated. No data leaves your device.
Eslaforde Workout Tracker stores your exercises, templates, workout history, and settings locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, that data syncs across your own Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit framework — it goes only to your private iCloud container and is never visible to us. If you enable Apple Health integration in the app's Settings, completed workouts are written to your Apple Health database as Traditional Strength Training sessions; we have no access to that data either.
Simple RouteBook stores your saved routes and settings locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, that data syncs across your own Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit framework — it goes only to your private iCloud container and is never visible to us. When you launch a route, RouteBook uses your device's location (only if you grant permission, and only to determine a “current location” starting point) and then hands the route to Apple Maps for turn-by-turn directions. Your location is processed on your device and is never sent to us.
Simple Balance Planner stores your transactions, recurring rules, and opening balance locally on your device using Core Data. If you are signed in to iCloud, that data syncs across your own Apple devices through Apple’s CloudKit framework — it goes only to your private iCloud database and is never visible to us. The app never connects to your bank: there are no bank logins, no financial aggregation service such as Plaid, and nothing is transmitted to any server we operate. Everything in it is either entered by you or imported from a CSV file you choose. You can export your transactions back to CSV at any time, and erase all of your data from inside the app.
Subscriptions
Our Apps offer optional auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment information. Subscription status is verified locally on your device through Apple's StoreKit framework. Where a free trial is offered, it is an Apple introductory offer; we receive no payment details at any stage.
Third-Party Services
Our Apps do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media SDKs. The Eslaforde Workout Tracker uses Apple's own frameworks — CloudKit (for iCloud sync) and HealthKit (for the optional Apple Health integration) — both of which keep your data within your Apple ID and your device. If you have separately enabled the Apple Health → Strava sync inside the Strava app, Strava reads your workouts from Apple Health directly; the Eslaforde Workout Tracker does not communicate with Strava. Simple RouteBook likewise uses only Apple's own frameworks — CloudKit (for iCloud sync) and Core Location (to determine a current-location starting point) — and opens Apple Maps for directions; it does not integrate any third-party services. Simple Balance Planner uses only Core Data and CloudKit (for iCloud sync) and integrates no third-party services of any kind.
Website Analytics
This website (eslaforde.com) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visitor patterns. It is a privacy-preserving service — it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint or track individual visitors, and does not share data with third parties. We see only aggregate figures such as page views and referrers. This applies to the website only; our Apps themselves contain no analytics.
Children's Privacy
Our Apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect any personal data, our Apps are safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
